The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:

Introduction workshop on Institute for Community Health Research, Hue UMP in Dak LakOn February 23th 2015, a joint workshop between the Institute of Community Health Research (ICHR) - Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (HUMP) and Provincial Health Deaprtment of Daklak was organized in Ban Me Thuot City. Participants of the workshop were A.Prof Vo Van Thang, Director of ICHR, Dr Doan Huu Long, Director of the Provincial Health Deaprtment of Daklak and around 50 representatives from various health care affiliations of Daklak Health department, including Provincial Center for Preventive Medicine, General Hospital, Ophthalmologic Hospital, Psychiatric Hospital, Center for Health Education and communication. Commenting and sharing at the workshop, Dr Doan Huu Long appreciated the cooperation between ICHR and local institutions in providing priority evidences in health planning at local level. In addition, the Director of Daklak Health Deparment also looked forward to further cooperation and consultation in scientific research based on the needs of local healthcare system. A. Prof Vo Van Thang also presented a general introduction about ICHR and confirmed the cooperative relationship between ICHR and 5 provinces in central and highland regions of Vietnam, particularly with Daklak Health service. He also emphasized the important strategy of the institute is to set up stronger connections between community and university in scientific research to provide better evidence for the improvement of community healthcare planning in Daklak province. After the speech, A.Prof Thang had a presentation on “Evidence-based healthcare planning and management: Role of scientific research”, followed by a report of Mr Tran Binh Thang, research assistant from ICHR on “ICHR: Activities, cooperation and potential in community health improvement”. The workshop received positive feedbacks from the Daklak medical agencies. All feedbacks together with local demands of scientific cooperation will be sent to ICHR until February 10th, then detailed plan to the partners would be outlined properly. ICHR News |
