The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:
An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions. Science cafe in June: "Secrets to conquer English"In today's globalization, English plays a very important role. Along with the development of technology, medicine and education are fields that English plays a key role. How can we gain a head start by taking a shortcut, so that Vietnamese people can rise to the height of the world’s intelligence? – We must invest, develop education, be proficient in foreign languages, especially English. Within the framework of the Science Cafe program which organized periodically by the Institute for Community Health Research of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (ICHR-Hue UMP) and OUCRU - Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, with the support of the Wellcome Trust, the June’s Science Cafe with the topic "Secrets to conquer English" took place successfully. The speaker of the program, Dr. Dang Van Tam, was from the Department of Rehabilitation - Hue Central Hospital. There were more than 50 students of General Practitioner, Preventive Medicine, Public Health, Pharmacy, Nursing of Hue UMP and Hue College of Sciences. As usual, the "Science Cafe" forum attracted the attention and positive responses from students. Sitting by cups of coffee, the Science Cafe really brought a cordial and sharing atmosphere. Throughout the program, the speaker simultaneously talked about his own story and offered new insights about effective methods of studying English as well as secrets that summarised from his long period of learning and teaching English. With an open space, students bravely asked questions, raised their own difficulties and shared their experiences to conquer this global language.
