Professor Michael Dunne

Former Director and Founder of the ICHR - He is an Honorary Professor of Hue University. 

The main focus of his research in recent years has been on population mental health and the impact of childhood adversity. He has also contributed to research into social and psychological dimensions of HIV/AIDS and hepatitis risk behaviour and treatment adherence. Much of his work involves collaboration with doctoral students; he has supervised more than 40 PhD students, with most from Vietnam and countries in the East Asia and Pacific region. He collaborates with UNICEF, the WHO and colleagues in the USA, China, Malaysia and Vietnam, particularly regarding child protection research. At the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane Australia, Michael teaches International Health, Epidemiology and Health Sociology
