The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:
An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions. Workshop on the teaching of Public healthFrom 21-25 /03/2016, Faculty of Medicine of Tay Nguyen University organized the workshop on teaching in Public Health with the theme "Teaching clear ideas in a practical context". Participated in the workshop were Prof. Klaus Krickeberg - a person who has devoted 40 years working in Vietnam, Prof. Hajo Zeeb and Dr. Samkange Florence from the Leibniz Institute - Germany, Dr. Phan Vu Diem Hang, Prof. Le Vu Anh and the delegations from the Faculty of Public Health of Tay Nguyen University, Thai Binh Medical University , Can Tho University of Medicine, Medical University of Thai Nguyen Province and Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

At the workshop, the delegates from many Universities had chance to share their research with each other. Seven delegates from the Institute for Community Health Research and Public Health Faculty –Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy also presented findings from four research and attracted the attention of the majority of delegates.

The delegates also had one day to visit Cu Mgar district, and learned about healthcare system in the Central Highlands, the difficulties that the mountainous health facilities were facing.

Ending the conference, the organizers have summarized the opinions of the participants and pointed out the achievements and difficulties in teaching Public Health after 10 years of operation under the support of organizations BIPS - Germany. The organizers have pointed out the achievements after 10 years working with the support from the organization BIPS - federal republic Germany in public health teaching, as well as the difficulties that need to be overcome, and proposed ideas for the future activities, such as setting up a network of teaching of Public Health in Vietnam, and gradually apply the products of this project into teaching as reference sources.
