The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:

Expansion of international cooperation with the Tokyo Medical and Dental UniversityIn the period from 16-18 September, 2016, Professor Michael Dunne and Associate Professor Vo Van Thang, Co-Directors of the Institute for Community Health Research ( ICHR) attended the meeting with the editorial board of the International Journal of Asia Pacific Journal of Public Health and reported a research of ICHR at the Asia Pacific Academic Consortium Public Health ( APACPH) at Teikyo University, Tokyo, Japan. At the meeting, the leaders of ICHR had opportunities to meet and exchange knowledge and experiences with many Japanese scientists and many other international organizations in the fields of current interests in public health training and research.

Figure 2: In a scientific report session at the Conference APACPH On the date of 19 September 2016, after the Conference, according to the invitation of Professor Keiko Nakamura, head of Department of Global Entrepreneurship Health, Division of Public Health), Tokyo Medical and Dental University , Professor Michael Dunne and Associate Professor Vo Van Thang had a visit and worked at the University of Medicine and Dentistry (TMDU).
