The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:
An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions. The ICHR participated in the Congress on Establishing Thua Thien Hue provincial Association of Public Health and Preventive MedicineOn October 5th, 2019 at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thua Thien Hue provincial Association of Public Health and Preventive Medicine organized the first congress, term of 2019-2024, with financial and technical support from the Institute for Community Health Research. Public Health and Preventive Medicine are increasingly playing important roles in countries' healthsector. In order to improve health care workforce for the people in Viet Nam in general and in Thua Thien Hue province in particular, it is necessary to gather experts working in the fields of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, including academic experts and local health management officials, to share information, conduct scientific research, transfer and apply scientific research and technology achievements in policy-making activities, contributing to improve the quality of community health care system in the new stage. For that purpose, the Thua Thien Hue provincial Association of Public Health and Preventive Medicine was established pursuant to the Decision No. 2252 / QD-UBND dated 16/9/2019 of Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People’s Committee.

Attending the Congress, there were the presence of Prof. Le Vu Anh - President of Vietnam Public Health Association; Prof. Luu Ngoc Hoat - Hanoi Medical University, Director of Vietnam Medical Consulting Company; A/Prof. Nguyen Dung - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial People's Committee; Prof. Tran Huu Dang - Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Union of Science and Technology Associations; A/Prof. Nguyen Vu Quoc Huy - Acting Rector, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy; with Leaders of Department of Home Affairs, Department of Health, Thua Thien Hue CDC; representatives of Vietnam and Thua Thien Hue Science and Technology Associations and more than 50 members who are researchers, public health and preventive medicine managers of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Thua Thien Hue Province and non-governmental organizations.

The congress adopted the Association’s charter, operation directions and elected the association's executive board for the term of 2019-2024 with 09 members. A/Prof. Vo Van Thang - Dean of Public Health Faculty, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy was honored to be elected to the position of Chairman of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Association of Public Health and Preventive Medicine for the term 2019-2024
