The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:

  • To strengthen the relationship of Faculties of Public Health among the Southeast Asian countries and in the world;
  • To share research results in the field of Public Health as well as priority public health issues among greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries;
  • To search for feasible solutions to enhance international collaboration among Public Health Faculties in Mekong Sub-Region and a wider area of the Southeast Asian countries about training and research in Public Health.

An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions.

Thua Thien Hue provincial Association of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in collaboration with the Faculty of Public Health and the Institute for Community Health Research of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, will host a scientific conference on Public Health.  (updating...)

Training data analysis course for health staffs among 6 provinces in central and highland area in Vietnam

The mission of the Institute for Community Health Research- Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy is building stronger connection between Universities and community. Its main objectives are to improve the quality of research, cohere research with practical needs, provide technical support and training in order to develop human resources in the research field and evaluation of community health care services.

Stemming from the needs of the local areas on improving capacity of health staff in analyzing data in medical research, the Institute for Community Health Research, in cooperation with the Health Departments of Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Dak Lak, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Ngai Province and Da Nang City, has successfully organized three training short courses in December 2015.

Course 1: 7-12 / 12/2015 for health staff from Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak Province

Course 2: 14 - 12/19/2015 for health staff from Thua Thien Hue province and Da Nang city.

Course 3: 21-25 / 12/2015 for health staff from Quang Ngai province.

These courses have been provided by lecturers with well experience in doing scientific research and data analyses in public health field. The courses have focused on building practical skills for participants. There were 71 health staff from 6 provinces, with different areas of working in health care services (such as public health, preventive medicine, health management and treatment) participated in these training courses. At the end of the courses, most participants highly appreciated that the courses were practical and the method of teaching was suitable.
