The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:
An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions. TRAINING COURSE: INTRODUCTION TO SYSTEMATIC REVIEWS AND EVIDENCE INFORMED DECISION MAKING IN PUBLIC HEALTHOn 28 and 29 March, 2016, Institute for Community Health Research had successfully organized training course on “Introduction to Systematic reviews and Evidence informed decision making in Public health”. There were 26 participants, including health staff from Health department of Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Thua Thien Hue province, Da Nang city, Thu Duc District hospital and lecturers from Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The invited lecturer of this course is Prof. Philip Baker - QUT University, Australia. Associate Professor Vo Van Thang is speaking at the opening ceremony The training course had provided basic knowledge on systematic review, evidence informed decision making in public health. Participants were introduced about Cochrane library, how to approach resources in this library, or explore some website which have high quality evidences. Moreover, Prof. Baker also introduced “Randomised controlled trials – Live the trial” to participants. They were taught about the design and operation of a randomised controlled trial and also how to assess the trustworthiness of a RCT. Prof. Philip Baker's lectures Prof. Baker and Dr. Tran Nhu Minh Hang Ending the training course, Prof. Philip Baker and Dr. Doan Vuong Diem Khanh – vice rector of ICHR has awarded the certificates to participants.
