The 13th international conference on Public Health among Greater Mekong Sub-Regional countries on "Enhancing transdisciplinary collaborations on Education and Research to tackle priority public health issues in the new Era" has following objectives:
An abstract should be in one paragraph with no more 350 words, describing the major aspects of the entire paper in a prescribed sequence that includes: 1) Introduction: The overall purpose of the study and the research problem(s) you investigated; 2) Objective(s): The outcomes that you aim to achieve by conducting research; 3) Method: The basic design of the study; 4) Results: Major findings or trends found as a result of your analysis; and, 5) Conclusions: a brief summary of your interpretations and conclusions. Introduction to using and producing Cochrane reviewsOn 26 and 27 Sep 2016, the Institute for Community Health Research, in collaboration with the Cochrane Thailand - Khon Kaen University - Thailand Research Fund, successfully held the training "Introduction to using and producing Cochrane reviews. " The course took place at the Faculty of Public Health, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy with the participation of 36 students from the Departments of Health of Quang Ngai, Thua Thien Hue provinces, the teaching staffs of the faculties and departments of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy and students from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Australia, under the guidance of professor Pisake Lumbiganon, professor Malinee Laopaiboon and professor Porjai Pattanittum - Khon Kaen University, Thailand.

In the training course, trainees were introduced on how to use effectively the Cochrane Library, potential effects can be explored from Cochrane, approaches to research in the library, and a number of web sites with high quality articles. Besides, the participants also had time to practice the steps to undertake a study with the Cochrane Library, and data analysis and management under the enthusiastic guidance of the Professors from Thailand.
